Our Fees
At Thompson, Rosenthal & Watts, LLP, we recognize that the cost of attorney fees involved in any legal matter is a concern.
Typically in residential real estate transactions, estate planning, some landlord/tenant matters, and certain aspects of recording a mechanic's lien, we charge a flat rate. That rate is determined by a variety of matters, including the complexity of the issue and the experience of the attorney involved. On these matters, you will know the total attorney fees involved before we begin work on the matter.
On many litigation matters, however, we charge by the hour for our services. In these matters we will discuss the litigation process with you, explain the various factors involved in each aspect of litigation, and to the extent possible, provide you with estimates as to the possible length of the litigation as well as the possible costs involved.
