John C. Broihier

John BroihierJohn C. Broihier is a partner at Thompson, Rosenthal & Watts, LLP. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from St. Norbert College in 1967. He obtained an MBA from Northern Illinois University in 1974 and his law degree from DePaul University in 1978. He is a veteran of the U. S. Army attaining the rank of Captain and serving with distinction in Europe and South Vietnam.

John is a member of the American Bar Association. He has served as a director with the Indian Prairie Educational Foundation, a not-for-profit corporation providing additional educational opportunities to local grade, middle and high school students. As a volunteer, he has coached and managed sports teams within the Wheatland Athletic Association and the Naperville Park District.

Mr. Broihier concentrates his practice in the areas of public employment, zoning, and commercial and residential real estate transactions. He has represented the Illinois Fire and Police Commissioners Association since 1978 and has been assisting fire and police commissions and merit commissions throughout the State of Illinois in the preparation of rules and regulations, the selection and promotion of police officers and fire fighters and the conduct of disciplinary hearings related to the suspension or removal of officers and fire fighters for misconduct. He is a noted lecturer on topics concerning the selection, retention, promotion and discipline of individuals employed in law enforcement and the fire service.

John resides with his wife, Madonna, in the Naperville area.
